Film Club

Classic Film Club
The new parish film club will be launched on Tuesday 20th MArch at 2.30pm in the Angelus room – no membership fees – with the 1953 comedy Genevieve, starring Dinah Sheridan, John Gregson, Kay Kendall and Kenneth Moore as the two couples involved. The plot line is set amongst the intense rivalry that is veteran car rallying, and the Genevieve of the tital is a 1904 Darracq, entered by its owner in the annual London to Brighton event, with spills and thrills along the way. We plan to present a range of classic films on a two monthly basis from comedy to drama, e.g Ealing Comedies, Some Like it Hot, The Thrid Man – the running time for these is generally 1.5 hours. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided/ After our first showing we would like people to stay and chat, to sugget films that they would like to see next time and which day of the week would suit people best.
